charter marathon 2008 was held this morning and, as usually, i took part in the 10km event which is presently my upper limit. it was a unbearably cold day, but there had been tens of thousands of particiants standing by in the victoria park where both the start and end points were located. the people crawled the pathway towards the warm up and start point, while some of them were queuing up outside the toilets. when i finally arrived at the start point, i started hearing the mc giving a lively commentary on the enthusiastic atmosphere built up there.

by the time it was counted to 3, runners were activiated and yelled.

Whenever I was asked the happiest event happening to me in 2007, I would say with hesitation, "Being employed as an Avian Apprentice by Ocean Park."

I reported my first day's duty on Dec 1 bright and early. As I remember the weather that day was wonderful and encouraging, the kind of sunny day that warmed the heart and freshened the mind of everyone in the sun. Before passing through the entrance gate of the adminstrative building, I looked up and proffered a heartful greeting to the slope on the hill with a landscape artificalized as a seahorse, the remarkable, impressive logo of Ocean Park used for many years. tonight i logged on rthk, browsing the web to see any interesting program to listen to. i randomly picked up some available ones. i feel surprised that there was a common topic among them.

the topics of this year's hkcee chinese composition exam has raised controversial questions and doubt over the society. the most remarkable topic out of 3 seemed to be "Lemon Tea". some people, including teachers, critized that topic of such violated the essence of composition, which supposedly took into account the smoothness of wriiting styles and diversity of writing skills. This argument is unfound since the ultimate purpose of composite lies in compositing. in other words, candidates should be expect to write a comprehensive essay or article based on their common sense, literature skills and background information upon a certain matter.

candidates act in fact grant an good oportunity to "lemon tea" show up their creativity, if they have, since there was no other binding conditions in the topic.

i could not fall asleep up till 4 am last night, after when jumping down from bed to take a pill of panadol to temporary kill pain in my wound of wisdom teeth pull a few days before. the wound of course has stopped bleeding, yet how come it gets more and more pain! i am always force opening my great mouth so that i may get a clearing and deep view into it, but it doesn't seem to work.

i doubt the tie around the wound loosed and i am afraid it won't recover as fast as normal or get infected by bacteria. i could stand the great pain when i was up to have breadfast this morning anyway, and therefore i decided to rush into the dental clinic before the currently scheduled date (the day after tmr) and ask for dentists' help.

i had promised to Cousin Guy that i would do him a favor to bring the broken ink-jet hp printer to the warranty service contre in Taiwoo, to fix. the new schedule sounds smooth. After it i traveled straight to hku and see my dentists at 3:30 am. at last i got there on time.

"it broke! and getting more and more pain!" i said. smiling was their reply.

i lied down and opened my mouth to let them fix it out. and yet, after their study of my mouth, i was told that the recovery of wound could not be better and everything looks perfect, and she did not hestitate to cut the strings around the wound. "no need to come again the day after tmr la" said the pretty dentist, albeit wearing a mask at all time.

"but how come it gets more pain these days, if everything goes fine?" i asked

" externally, the wound is good. but it may internally be infected, giving rise to inflammation, which is probably due to dirty stuff trapped and accumulated deep inside..."

it sounds really awful. super panadol as well as anti-inflammatory antiseptic solution and pills are offered, and costs nil.

Suen gave me a long-distance phone call when i was enjoying my cup noodle, and we chatted for several minutes before hanging up. she told me these days there have been come comfortlessness about the throat. anyway, i am glad to hearing her voice.

i love her as if i love my family. i am even treating her as part of my family member and will let her go nowhere from me.
