charter marathon 2008 was held this morning and, as usually, i took part in the 10km event which is presently my upper limit. it was a unbearably cold day, but there had been tens of thousands of particiants standing by in the victoria park where both the start and end points were located. the people crawled the pathway towards the warm up and start point, while some of them were queuing up outside the toilets. when i finally arrived at the start point, i started hearing the mc giving a lively commentary on the enthusiastic atmosphere built up there.
by the time it was counted to 3, runners were activiated and yelled.

Whenever I was asked the happiest event happening to me in 2007, I would say with hesitation, "Being employed as an Avian Apprentice by Ocean Park."
I reported my first day's duty on Dec 1 bright and early. As I remember the weather that day was wonderful and encouraging, the kind of sunny day that warmed the heart and freshened the mind of everyone in the sun. Before passing through the entrance gate of the adminstrative building, I looked up and proffered a heartful greeting to the slope on the hill with a landscape artificalized as a seahorse, the remarkable, impressive logo of Ocean Park used for many years. As I had said, I would be right back. And I did eventually.
